OPTICAL POINT SENSORS
Discover Paulsson’s advanced optical sensors, designed for the toughest environments and high-performance demands. Our seismic vector sensor arrays utilize fiber optic accelerometers, delivering exceptional bandwidth and reliable data at extreme depths and temperatures, well beyond traditional geophones. With innovative fiber optic hydrophones in pressure-compensated mandrels, Paulsson provides precise acoustic monitoring for oil and gas exploration, production, and seismic activity. Our all-optical pressure and temperature sensors, the first of their kind, operate without downhole electronics and handle pressures up to 25,000 psi and temperatures up to 600°F (300°C), setting new standards in durability and accuracy.
The Paulsson Optical Point Sensors are:

OPTICSEIS® - FIBER OPTIC SEISMIC VECTOR SENSORS (FOSVS)
Paulsson's large 3C seismic vector sensor arrays uses fiber optic accelerometer technologies for deployment in the harshest of conditions in vertical, deviated and horizontal wells. They have a much larger bandwidth, and can be deployed at much greater temperatures than geophones.
FIBER OPTIC HYDROPHONES
Paulsson's cutting-edge fiber optic hydrophones uses pressure compensated mandrels. This technology measures the dynamic acoustic pressures at high frequencies and is incorporating thermal effects. It is used in oil and natural gas prospecting, production monitoring and earthquake inspection.
FIBER OPTIC PRESSURE & TEMPERATURE SENSOR ARRAYS (FOPTSA)
Paulsson offers fiber optic pressure and temperature sensors that require no downhole electronics. Paulsson is the first to offer these all-optical sensor arrays that measure up to 25,000psi at 600°F (~300°C).
